The Sacramento Press is a very good form of community journalism because it is a combination of professional journalists and editors and community contributors. The site is updated regularly with new stories being posted constantly. The site covers various different topics within the sports, culture, politics, and business sections.
The website clearly gets the majority, if not all, of its revenue from advertisements. Each page is peppered with ads for everything you could possibly imagine. The website seems to have a fairly large group of writers contributing, there does not seem to be just one or two writers dominating each topic. However, some writers tend to have many more articles than others. Often times though, these are the professional writers and editorial staff. In the, “About us” section the editor says that the main point of their online paper is to, “tell stories and have conversations.”
