MyBmore.net

A local college student produced a Baltimore website that is rapidly growing in popularity. Created by Etosha Lankatilleke, MyBmore.net strengthens the city of Baltimore by using videos to bring together restaurants, artists, services, activities, and organizations.
"Videos let the true charachters of Baltimore really express who they are. Therefore we are providing small business owners, artists, and other local entities with an opportunity of marketing that would not normally have," says Lankatilleke, a freshman at the University of Baltimore.
Lankatilleke designed MyBmore.net as a school project during his senior year at Baltimore's own Friends School. When it received positive feedback by the businesses involved, Lankatilleke decided to continue his work on the website. Now the site contains 17 restaurants, 17 artists, eight services and retail sites, and five community organizations and is continually expanding.
The website had its official launch party two weeks ago, which, according to Lankatilleke, was extremely successful. As of Tuesday, the site is a LLC (low liability company)--a huge step forward for the business.
MyBmore.net will be hosting plenty of events in the coming months, such as jam sessions, fashion shows, and happy hours. The staff is currently working on a social platform that will bring people together online based on their interests in food, music, and more.
So, if you are having trouble finding something fun to do different from the same-old, same-old, vist MyBmore.net!
