Students Swarm to Camden Yards.

BALTIMORE – With the start of the 2011 Major League Baseball season well underway, the Baltimore Orioles welcomed the Boston Red Sox to Camden Yards this week.
Due to the large contingent of Massachusetts residents who attend Loyola University, Camden Yards exceptionally full, for an Orioles game that is. Typically, Loyola students tend to jump at the opportunity to attend such games as these when ever the chance arises.
These games proved to be no different as Camden hosted about 15,000 fans in each of the three games. Students took the opportunity to travel down to the inner harbor and get off campus. Many students also made the decision to dress up in some of the must ridiculous costumes you could imagine, in an effort to get onto the jumbotron during the game.
With the Orioles and Red Sox both off to terrible starts to open up the regular season, the three game home stand proved to be an interesting one.
The Orioles managed to secure victories in the first two games, but were unable to complete the sweep as they lost game three to a tough Red Sox pitcher, Jon Lester.
