Today, sports video games can give an edge to current athletes from youth to professional. This article focused on professional football and the videogame Madden NFL. The article mentions how players today can not only train during practices, but they are also able to refine their skills on video game systems. Athletes comment that by using the videogame systems, they recieve more game experience and awareness. Sport-focused video games have evolved from simple unrealistic systems such as Magnavox Odyssey and Atari Pong, to extremely sophisticated and advanced games such as Madden NFL 2010.
