Super Fast Bullet Trains are Finally Coming to the US
However, before breaking ground, tons of research and money has to be put into this entire process. Each of the 5 corridors being drawn out, will cost a minimum of 10 billion dollars each, while the California line alone will cost up to 45 billion. The amount of money being used to create the new train is truly remarkable. However, is it worth it? The answer is yes. These super trains have been used overseas in Europe and have been an instant hit. Business men can now hop on a train and arrive at the place of their wanting in a much shorter time. In America, for example the Midwest, citizens will be able to jump around through cities very easily, rather then braving out a four hour car ride.
Research is currently being done on factors such as, mountains, car culture, earthquakes, rider ship, nimbyism, instant exurbs, and farmlands. In order to finalize the creation of the super train, all of these factors will have to be taken into accountability. In terms of California, this research has been going on for a few years now, and they are willing to break ground as soon as possible.
After reading the article, it became aware that the trains at such a high speed are also very safe. They all have special mechanisms, which are put in place to protect the riders. For example, if the driver passes out in the middle of the journey, a switch will trigger because the driver was not pressing a button with his foot every thirty seconds. If he does not do that, then an alarm will go off. If he does not shut off the alarm, the train will immediately shut down. It is going to be very interesting to follow this story into the future, but do not expect to be riding on any super trains until about 2025. Until then, our commuting will continue to be devious and slow, but hey, this is a train of the future, give it some time.
