Apple vs. Google
By Jennifer Mdurvwa
Apple is in the works of making Bing it's default browser for the iPhone, replacing Google, though nothing definite has yet to be decided. Although Google and Apple had been working together in the past, they have come to rival each other in several markets, including cell phones with the development of Google's Nexus One. Google has also attempted to create Apps for the iPhone, which Apple refused to approve.
When the iPhone was first released, Apple was quick and happy to form a partnership with Google because they were after different market. Apple also believed using Google would help drive the popularity of the iPhone. However, as Google has started to crowd in on Apple's market, Apple has begun to see it as a competitor instead of an ally and is getting ready to sever all ties. This battle could be as nasty as the Apple vs. Microsoft conflict.
