Hidden Gem of Loyola Music

A pearl is known for its beauty and high value all over the world. But the most prized Pearl at Loyola is not jewel; he is music professor and classical guitarist, Ronald Pearl. On Tuesday, Pearl held a free concert in the student center’s fine arts recital room for all who appreciate classical guitar music. It was a solo concert, featuring only Pearl and his incredible proficiency in the classical guitar field.
Freedom Summer Murders

In the Chapter Freedom Summer, the often overlooked darks side of Journalism is revealed. During the Civil Rights Movements, Mississippi launched a campaign in June 1964 in order to register as many African American voters as possible, since it had never been allowed before. Additonally, this program set up Freedom Houses and Freedom Schools for furhter assistance. However, this faced strong oppositino by many groups, including the Ku Klux Klan who kidnapped and murdered three activists.
Taking A Shot At Asian Culture

“SAH-KI...” a group of Loyola students chant in unison as they start a drum roll on their table in the casual Chinese and Japanese restaurant Towson’s Best on Monday night. “BOMB!” Immediately, fists pound on the tabletop, shot and beer glasses clang, and chopsticks go flying. There is a brief moment of silence as everyone races to chug their drink, only to be interrupted by calls for another round.
