My2Cents: A Maryland Video Competition

Hey Digital Media students! Looking for something to boost your resume? Try submitting your work to this Maryland Video Competition entitled My2Cents, hosted by the Maryland Budget and Tax Policy Institute and Wide Angle Youth Media. To find out more information see below.

My2Cents: A Maryland Video Competition

Maryland Budget and Tax Policy Institute and Wide Angle Youth Media announce our call for entries to the 2011 My 2 Cents: A Maryland Video Competition! Teenagers and young adults aged 14-25 use their skills to make a 2-5 minute video by December 1, 2010. This competition is free to enter.

Six finalists will be chosen to win $500 for the production of their 2-5 minute. The video from each of the six finalists will be shown at the My 2 Cents premiere on March 8, 2011, where the finalists will compete for a grand prize of $1000

Entries must address one of the following issues:

  1. A Dime for Our Health
  2. Corporations for a Well-Qualified & Compensated Workforce
  3. Millionaires for Education

Interested in Songwriting?

WLOY will be hosting a singer/songwriter workshop tomorrow, Thursday October 21st for anyone interested.  This event will take place at 9PM in the 3rd floor reading room.  Mike McMonagle, a Loyola Alum, will give tips to improve pieces, as well as give students an opportunity to perform.  So stop by if you're interested
