Darren Criss on Glee this Tuesday
‘A Very Potter Musical’ and ‘Sequel’ fans like myself are probably ecstatic about tomorrow night’s episode of 'Glee'. Darren Criss, who played the title role of Harry Potter in the University of Michigan student-productions, will be playing Blaine, a gay student at a rival school who will become a mentor to Kurt and a possible love interest.
Criss is a very talented actor and musician, and his membership in the theater production group Team Starkid has launched his career in the last year and a half. The Harry Potter spoofs have collectively gained about 25 million views on Youtube, and he is credited with writing half of the songs in the original and all of the songs in the sequel. He is also the primary songwriter for Team Starkid’s upcoming show, StarShip, which will be performed in February 2011.
I encourage any Harry Potter fan to check out the hilarious musical, and everyone to tune into 'Glee' tomorrow night. For a preview of Criss singing 'Teenage Dream', Click Here.
