Positive Ways Women Use the Web

There is no doubt that the Internet has provided various positives to our world such as allowing us to be well-connected, well-informed, and just making our lives a lot easier overall. However, these positives also make it easy to exploit the Internet. Because of the hype the media has created, there is a stigma attached to women in regards to pornography and consumerism, but that doesn't mean all women are using the Internet in negative ways. For instance, some women are using the web to stop violence against women, some are creating healthy relationships with women of different cultures, and others are even organizing groups for women's rights. The Internet isn't just for porn and shopping online; it is important we recognize it as a powerful tool in voicing our opinions.
