Women Using the Web

Over the years the internet has advanced allowing anyone in the world to have a voice if they want to. In chapter 20 of web studies they talk about women's place in the internet. The internet has helped women communicate through networking. It has also aloud them to take up causes and spread the word using the internet as their platform. The topic that has become number one for women is violence. Women have been able to use the web to create campaigns against violence, they use links, emails, social networking, and online chatting to convey there message to the public.
The internet has become a huge tool for women and it will only get more helpful as technology advances. The internet is so helpful for women because it gives them a voice and a way to find people dealing with the same things they are. Women have also started programs such as MADD mothers against drunk driving and have recieved tons of support from the online community. Overall the internet is a great tool for women because it allows them to network, communicate, find support, and support a cause.
